Hello, Cereal Lovers is a brand-agnostic social community which exists to celebrate cereal and cereal fanatics. With little more than a dedicated designer and a minimal budget, I ran this community in the scrappiest of ways, analyzing audience engagement to continue to make content that resonated with the audience. Hello, Cereal Lovers lived on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram. During my tenure, Hello, Cereal Lovers consistently had one of the highest audience engagement rates out of all of the General Mills brands that had a social media presence. |
Cereal Day 2015 Cereal Day is a day of complete celebration for the Cereal Lovers audience. For Cereal Day 2015, we has a small budget of $1,000 to create content to reach fans and influencers and to promote the holiday through Facebook. The plan I developed had two parts: 1) Create a special Cereal Day puzzle to send to Twitter influencers; and 2) Post and promote a photo set on Facebook featuring some of the most beloved cereals. The campaign was a success, with a 660% spike in the number of HCL mentions on Twitter and over 100,000 impressions on Facebook. |
